2/23/16

  First topic, we conclude the family meeting yesterday. As I've said in yesterday update, it was my dad's week to share things for the first half. He told some stories. As for myself, I taught myself the song Silent Night; but I still couldn't play it without looking at the tablatures. 

  Ok, as for today, I went to the hospital. I was afraid that I had to do some examination, but I just need to take few supersonic pictures. That's all at the hospital. One more thing. The doctor gave me two new medicines. When I arrived home, I was late for school by one hour. Luckily, there's no Bible lesson today and there's only a test in math. I also completed four percents of Codecademy's Python lesson in about thirty minutes. I could feel that I'm getting better at Python. But that's wasn't the thing I've achieved that I'm most proud of today. The thing that I'm most proud of was that I've taught myself to play the theme song from the cartoon series Gravity Falls. I don't know why, but I felt sad when Alex Hirsch, the creator of the series, announced that he won't continue the series. I felt that by being able to play the song, I could still have some part of the show in me. You might ask, "If you missed it that much, why don't you watch it again?" Because I don't like to watch the same episode again. Of course, I have no problem if it was a random episode on the TV, but I don't like to watch the same episode again if I could choose to. I felt like I've said goodbye to Mabel and Dipper. My parents also took me and my sister to the cinema to watch Zootopia. The movie was about a rabbit named Judy Hopps in a fiction land where animals acts like humans. Judy was from Bunnyburrow. Her dream was to become a police. The problem is there have never been a rabbit police so not much encourage her. When she arrived to Zootopia as a police, there're few missing cases. She met Nicholas P. "Nick" Wilde, a fox. After some details, they together solved the missing cases. Then bla bla bla and bla bla bla something. At the end, Nick became a police, too. He was the first fox police because, you know, sly fox. There's a scene in the end, they caught a car that was driven faster than it permit. I guessed that the driven was Flash, the sloth. And it was him. The reason I thought so was that the sloth droving that would be a good joke, because sloths were know for being slow. We came home late becaue the movie was about more than two hours, but it's worthy of two hours in the cinema. I like this movie. 

2/22/16

  Last Saturday, my dad, mom, and sister went to the zoo while I stayed at home. I read books a little bit then watched YouTube. When the other members of the family returned, we went to Aeon Mall to eat at Burger King. Both of me and my dad ordered a Double Whooper. The Double Whooper was a big beef burger that had two patties. The beef was said to be grilled on fire. It happens that there was Vietnam Cosplay Cup there. After lunch, we went to Bat Trang to meet my dad's friend there. Bat Trang was a place famous for making porcelains. My mom bought me a cup with the symbol of Starbuck, making it looks like a Starbuck's cup. 

  Yesterday, I make Milo in my new, personal cup for the first time. I don't know how, but the milk just always seems to had too much water in it. And as a result, I had to put more sugars or another pack of Milo into it. We started heading toward my grandparents' house early in the morning. And by early, I mean 9 am because we still get ready later than we expected. There're many elder members of the family there for dinner. When we arrived home, it was nearly 9:20 pm. I looked for places in a city which we planned to go this weekend. I also looked for a place in Winnipeg for no important reason. 

  This morning, I walked 2 miles for thirty-three minutes fourty-three seconds. It was slower than the last time by ten seconds. I had an incredible amount of test this morning. This might be the record of the morning section that had the most tests. There four tests. We had history, science, language, and literature. As the result, I learned mathmetic this morning too. In the afternoon, I only had to learn Bible because I already had learned math in the morning. We had a review lesson today. The thing that I'm worried about was the verses test. I doesn't remembered the verses in this semester. 

  Today, I had learned Python on Codecademy extremely well. I had completed about 7 percents for about one hour. It was equal to two units. I'm proud that I had done the works well and good. My dad and I walked this afternoon for six rounds, but it rained so hard that we had to returned home. We had a family meeting today, and my dad was to direct it.

  There's many thing since the last time I wrote an entry on my blog. Last Saturday, my dad took our whole family to Aeon Mall. My mom bought me a new Lego Bionicle set we were there. The set that my mom bought for me was a 2015 winter Skull Spider Lord. That set had a lot of Technic parts and a golden mask. The mask was supposed to be The Mask of Creation, but it didn't look like the Mask of Creation that Lego introduced in 2015 winter and summer wave. For dinner, we ate fast food beef. It wasn't like the fast foods at KFC, McDonald, etc. This included beef, rice, eggs, and french fries on a hot pan. My dad said that this was a kind of Japanese fast food. The dishes was somewhat not enough. Luckily, the dish I ordered this time was just enough. My dad bought me two books. I already had one out of those. The other book that I didn't had before was the book of instructions to do stuffs like make spaghetti, use a screwdriver, clean your room, make smoothies, etc. 

  I've watched the last episode of Gravity Falls season 2. The sad thing was that that episode might be the last episode of Gravity Falls forever. This 46 minutes episode was the about the survivors of Weirdmagedon fight back Bill Cipher. Bill was trapped inside of a force field of Gravity Falls. Stanford knew how to open it, but he won't tell Bill. To destroy Bill, Stanley swapped place with Stanford. When Bill entered Stanley's head, thinking that it was Stanford's head, Stanford deleted Stanley's mind to destroy Bill. Luckily, they was still able to restored Stanley's mind. After the 13th birthday for Mabel and Dipper Pine at Gravity Falls, the twins returned to California. Since the show might never be continue, I think I'll switch to watch Star vs the Forces of Evil. It was really sad for me to know that Alex Hirsch won't continue the show. 

  There're other things that I've achieved that I like. I've made two more new MOCs. One used up most of the golden parts I've got, and the other had a badass scythe. I could also played guitar pretty good in spite of the fact that it had been few days since I played guitar. My Python programming skills was much better. Three out of six lessons of the Codecademy today was easy.

  Last Saturday, my dad and I went to Dan's Shop and Bistro to buy Jell-o's jelly powder. I bought a small size cranberry flavored jelly box. It was quite delicious. Because the instructions was covered up by the information paper that was glued to it, I had to find the instructions on the Internet. I used less sugar on the jelly than the amount of sugar in the instructions, but it was quite enough sugar for the jelly. When I had played this iPad for about an hour, I came down to eat lunch; but when I came up, the iPad's screen was black. Becaue it was a holiday, not much people would work in these few days. We intended to get the iPad fixed after the holiday. I even thought that something was wrong with the charger and tried to buy another charger to see if it works. But another charger wouldn't work, and I didn't bought it. My aunt, uncle, and cousins also had lunch with my family at my house. That night, my dad and I returned to Dan's Shop and Bistro to bought two more Jell-o powder for my great grandparents and grandparents, we bought two flavors, peach and cranberry. We also bought the cake mix for my aunt. 

  On Sunday, we packed our things to go to my grandparents' house after we ate lunch . We arrived pretty soon. The trip was faster than the last time we went to my grandparents' house. It only took two hours this time. After we got there and settled our things down, I started to prepare the jelly. One time when I took the bowl of jelly out to check it, I accidentally broke a plate. It broke into two pieces. There are no other small pieces, just two pieces. After dinner, which I thought it was good because it had chicken, I brought out the peach jelly. I also thought the peach flavor was good. That night, we opened the marshmallows packet to eat it after putting it over the fire. And if there's one word to describe it, then that word was "suck". So instead of eating marshmallows with the fire, we threw potatoes into it. The result? The only one that wasn't raw fell on the ground. The others was either raw or burned up. 

  Yesterday, my dad, mom, sister, grandmother, and I went to other people's houses to wish them wealth as a custom of Lunar New Year in Vietnam. Sadly but true, I can't remembered most of the people that I went to. After lunch, only my dad and I went to our neighbors. That night, we watched the movie Big Hero 6. The movie was about a boy that was a genius trying to find the one who stoled his microbots.  

  This morning, my mom, sister and I went to my grandma's sister house. My sister didn't take candies into her pocket anymore. When we came home, my cousins were there. I returned to my grandma's sister house with my cousin and found Sau, another of my cousin, was there. I regretted that I didn't brought any Lego with me. When I arrived home, I came up and found out that the iPad's screen was back on now.

  Yesterday, I tried to watch Back to the Fure II or Back to the Future III; but there's no server in which I could watch it on. So instead of watching one of those movies, I watched youtube. I watched videos about easter eggs, hidden clues, and references by the YouTube channel Screen Rant. Another video included Smosh's If Adult Act Like Children. It was funny. I also watched a video of Pewdiepie playing Just Dance with one of his friends, but the unusual thing that one person watched the other dance. If the watching person saw the dancing person dance badly, he would shocked the other one with a electric shock. It was funny. Sometime, one was shocked so much that he jumped up or fell down. 

  Let me tell you about class today right now. In English, we had a book report. I wrote the book report about the book David Livingstone: Explorer and Missionary. The book was about David Livingstone's life. The book report for, that I've wrote was an oral book report form. First, I wrote the title and author of the book and the lesson one could learn from this book, each on one line. Then, I wrote a typical outline. In history, I learned about King Henry VIII. He had married six wives. His divorced his first and third wife. He beheaded two of his wives. One died from natural cause, and the other survived. King Henry VIII started the Chirch of England because he wanted to divorce his first wife, and the pope was under his first wife's nephew. So, Henry VIII established the Church of England, which he was the head of it,  gave permission for himself to divorce his first wife and married another. In science, we started to learn about mammals. 

  Today, I've accomplished something that I'm really proud of. In Python, I successfully created a program that could translate words into Pig Latin. It could even translate the word in a sentence into Pig Latin. I also taught myself how to play the whole Jingle Bells song. I find the tablature of the song on Internet by myself. I could played it quite well now. I also made a new Lego M.O.C. pistol for one of my favorite M.O.C. We were supposed to went the one of my relative's house today, but my mom was busy having her hair cut so we could go. Today, I walked eight rounds by myself around the apartment buildings.

  Yesterday, I watched Star Wars: Clone Wars on YouTube; but I haven't watch YouTube for long when my dad told me to take a bath. After taking a bath, I couldn't continue to watch YouTube because it was my day to watch YouTube. So instead of that, I started to go to bed, but I read the book 1,001 More Great Jokes before I went to bed. It was one of the two joke books that my dad gave me last year. This book had funnier jokes than the other book. 

  Today in class, there's not so much thing that was significant. In history, the first thing I learned about was about the Hundred Years War. The war was between England and France. England tried to get the land in France that they've lost during King John's reign. At first, the English army was winning. During a reign of a weak French king, a peasant girl, Joan of Arc, that claimed to hear a voice from heaven that told her to lead the French army in the war. Joan of Arc did win some battle until the English army caught her and burned her at the stake. Next, I learned about the War Between Roses. After the English people overthrown King Richard II, a new king came to the throne, starting the Lancaster line of kings. The last Lancaster king went mad. So a man from the family of York seized the throne. The Lancaster and the Yorks battled of one hundred years until the Lancaster win and a Lancaster married a York and started the line of Tudor kings. In science, the teacher showed us some mollusks and other sea creatures. She showed us sea shells, a star fish, a sea urchin, a octopus, a sponge, a coral, and a squid. The sponge was the only multi-cells creature without a complete nervous system.   

  Today, I went to my friend's house. He had a plane control simulator. I've tried to land it twice. It went head down the first time. In the second time, I managed to land it; but I lost two blades out of four. The plane in the simulator was a B-17. After that, we went out for a walk. We talked about the Star Wars movies. Both of us like the Star Wars movies. We discussed a lot about it. When he wished that the Star Wars characters would come to earth, I told him about the comic that had the part where Han Solo did actually came to earth and his bones was dicovered by no one other than Indiana Jones. I went home at 5:00 pm on a bus.

  Last Saturday, my whole family went to my grandparents' house. I also brought the cake mix along with the frosting that I've made at home before we go. We started to go at somewhere near 3:00 pm, but along the way, there's several places where we faced traffic jams. There must be three places that we met traffic jam. Fortunately, the weather wasn't hot so I could sleep during the traffic jams. We arrived at my grandparents' house about 7:00 pm due to the traffic jams. 

  On Sunday, I woke up earlier than I usually woke up at my grandparents' house. I started to make the cake for my grandma's birthday. I didn't bought the cale mix that I usually buy because the place that sells it doesn't have it in stock anymore. So for a substitute cake mix, we bought the rainbow cake mix. It was only different from the one I usually bought because it had little pink and blue pieces of candy in it. I still make the vanilla favor frosting, though. The frosting on the top was thicker, than my birthday cake that I made by myself, but the cake's shape wasn't as good as my cake. It was broken because the electric rice-cooker wasn't anti-sticking. We arrived home at 9:00 pm. That night, I watched Star Wars: Clone Wars. It wasn't the same as Star Wars: The Clone Wars. The Clone Wars was a 3D animation cartoon. 

  Today, I didn't have any Bible lesson. Today, my science teacher, Mrs. Stancel, showed us some worms that had been in reserve. She showed us a flatworm, a earthworm, and a leech. Fortunately, those worms had been in reserve so it shriveled up and didn't look so gross as it was when it was still normal. I also learned about the budget in mathematic. 

  I started to play the chorus of the song Jingle Bells better than before. I also read some jokes in 1,001 More Great Joke that my dad gave me. For example, what does an Indian have when he caught a deer without eye and leg? The answer was he have a still no eye deer. I also improve Savij by removing his cape. I also made two new M.O.C. I made a new M.O.C. gun that looks quite like some future laser rifle in real life.
