4/28/16

Yesterday, I watched part of the movie National Treasure. I've watched this movie before, but I have no idea that the movie was made in 2004. I thought it was supposed to be somewhere near 2007 like Transformers or something. The movie was about Benjamin Franklin Gates' journey to find the Freemason's hidden treasure during the American War for Independence. He first heard of the treasure when his grandfather told him about the treasure and the treasure's clue that was handed to his ancestor by a member of the Freemason. Gates even had to steal the Declaration of Independence in order to find the next clue which leads him to the Liberty Bell. That was the part where I stopped watching because it was nearly midnight by then.

Now I shall include what's happened today in class. Do you like how I used the word "shall"?  I finally completed my walk goal. I walk theee miles for sixty-five minutes and something like fourty seconds. In history, I learned about Henry Ford. He's the first one to make American car to be affordable. The funny thing is his last name was Ford and it had the word ford in the word afford. Do you get it? In science, I learned about the social insects, including ants and bees. And I also learned about how to convert Celsius to Fahrenheit, and vice versa.

So, now I shall include other things else today. I finally finished The Secret of The Immortal Nicholas Flamel. The series was great. I really like the ending. But I still wished that there's still more in the series. Too bad that the other two extra books of the series wasn't available in Vietnam. But it does not matters much because those two books were just extra stories about Billy the Kid and Joan of Arc.

Now I shall summed up the series. Josh Newman worked at The Little Bookstore in San Fransico which was own by Nick Flemming while his twin sister, Sophie, worked at the next door coffee shop. One day a short man came into the bookstore. On that day, both of their lives changed. They realized that Nick Flemming was actually Nicholas Flamel, a legendary French alchemist. And the man who attacked the bookstore was John Dee, a man from the Elizabethan Age in England. Dee was looking for the Codex, a book written ten thousand years ago by an Elder Race name Abraham. Josh and Sophie since then discovered about magics.

Tonight, my dad and I gonna watched Independence Day. I like to watch that movie, and I finally gonna watched it today. And the best thing that I persuaded my dad to watch it with me by told him to download the version without a subtitle.

4/27/16

Yesterday, I watched movie instead of today. It was Tuesday, and I choose to watch on Tuesday because I might be very busy on Wednesday, which is today. I watched a little bits of the movie Unfriended until I realized that it was a horror movie. After that, I watched the last part of Hitch, the movie in which tells us about a guy who was a love doctor and stuffs like that; and it starring Will Smith. I've watched this before with my dad through the USB. Personally, I wished I could watched Independence Day or National Treasure. Independence Day starring Will Smith, and National Treasure starring Nicholas Cage. I've never watched Independence Day, but I've watched National Treasure before. It had two episodes, and I've watched both of them. Independence Day will have a reboot this year or next year, but I doubted that Will Smith will be in the movie. The last movie I watched was Spy. The only actor that I actually know before I watched the movie was the guy who played as the Transporter in The Transporter, The Transporter II, and The Transporter III. My dad used to like that movie when I was about seven, so I've watched all of the three movie. Anyway, Spy was about a supporting agent in the CIA. One day, her coworker was killed while doing his mission, so the supporting agent, named Susan Cooper, ask the go to the field and keep an eye on the one who killed her coworker. Her target was possessing a mini nuke, and she knows all of CIA's top agents, so Cooper was sent. I've watched this movie before so I believed that I have already included the movie's details before.

There's a few thing I need to include today. But I won't say first, or then, or last because I don't feel like doing that, OK? I think that you might be wondering why I always started the sentence with the sentence, "Today, I have few things to say," or sentences similar to that. You know what I mean. It was because I was taught in language that every paragraph need a topic sentence, a sentence that told what the paragraph was about. And since I had no other better ideas, I used what I always say at the beginning of the paragraph about today. Ok, so into the main stuffs. I failed to reach my walking goal. I was supposed to walk three miles for fourty-six minutes or less. But my time was fourty-six minutes and fifty seconds. You might noticed that my walking speed used to increase before, but had stopped increasing these days. That was because my speed goal was to be three miles for fourty-six minutes for the last half year of school. I had reached the third percent in the biography about Thomas Jefferson. I have also reached the fifth book of The Secret of The Immortal Nicholas Flamel. And I also translated another article that my dad sent me yesterday. I might have forgotten the say that my dad sent me two articles to translate yesterday. Of course, I didn't need to translate both of them yesterday. I just need to translate one yesterday, and the other whenever I want.

4/26/16

Yesterday, my family and I had a family meeting. The family meeting was held while I was making yesterday's blog entry. Well, at least most of it. After I have finished making the blog entry, my family listened the me tried, and failed, to play the whole song of He's a Pirate in a way that I haven't tried before. I failed because I didn't know the melody, or tune or whatever it's called. And also because I wasn't familiar the this way of playing. At least, I played the song The Star Spangled Banner better than the last time I tried. I could still play Lambada and Kumbayah as fluently as before. I also tried some new songs, but most of them are too long, and other were too short. I also found some Irish traditional's jigs. By that time, I didn't have any idea what a jig was, but it was extremely fast. It was faster than I could play. It was like playing He's a Pirate at 1.5 times the original speed of the song. Or maybe twice. Before I went to bed, I continued to read The Necromancer, the fourth book of the series The Secret of The Immortal Nicholas Flamel. I might have mentioned this long ago, back in the early entries of this blog, that the series was written by an Irish author, Michael Scott. Know I don't know about you, but I find that it's quite funny when an Irish had the last name Scott. And by the way, I think that today's entry will be shorter than yesterday's entry due to the fact that I had less things to include today.

Today, few things were important enough to include if not to include the things that happened in school. I also completed my goal of walking three miles for fourty-six minutes or faster. But I was slower than yesterday by fifty-six or fifty-four minutes. The time today was fourth-five minutes and fourty seconds. In science, Mrs. Stancel, or science teacher, who I believed that I have never mentioned this before, showed us a dead Madagascar hissing cockroachand some beetles that was alive. I don't remembered the species of the beetle, nor it's name, which I, by the time writing this was was thinking about the name. I didn't noticed to see if Mr. Smith stills wear glasses today, but I can tell that he wears glasses the last today.

I also translated an article that my dad sent me just today. He said that the article that I translated from the article he sent me was much better than the articles that I've translated before. This had only a few misspelled errors. And I'm quite happy that I'm getting better at it. Tonight, I might watch movie on HBO or Star Movies. Tonight, before I went to sleep, I will read two or three percents of the biography of Thomas Jefferson then continued with The Necromancer.

4/25/16

Last Saturday, instead of going to a farm so I could experience the life there as we planned to, my dad and I went to the hospital to have an examination of my digestive system. While I was there, I had to drink two fourty-five milliliter bottle of a medicine used to clean the digestive system that tasted like the cockroach's feces. And I tell you, it does NOT tastes good at all. I had to drink it along with a one and a half liter bottle of water. After I have done with those terrible tasting medicine, I had to drink another one liter and a half bottle of another medicine that tasted more pleasant than the last. But when there was only a few gulps away from finishing the bottle, I suddenly drank too much in one gulp, making me, whose stomach was full of waters, vomit all of the things which was in my stomach. I guess I vomit all the medicines because my vomits was clear and a little bit sticky, eww. Other things that I did there was taking feces samples, taking blood samples, taking the record of my heart beat using electric, seeing inside my body using supersonic waves, and seeing inside my digestive system using a camera that was put inside my body. Gross. At night, I played iPad. I played Ravensword: Shadowlands. I finally finished the whole game.

As for Sunday, not much happened. We have breakfast, then I read book and continued while my parents sleep, then have dinner, and finally, I watched Captain America: Winter Soldier before we had a blackout that forced me to go to be immediately. Captain America 2, as it was also called and henceforth gonna be called CA2, was the sequel of Captain America: The First Avenger. Steve Roger, while finding what Nick Fury was hiding before his death, found out that SHIELD was actually a new form of a German organization in World War II that was called HYDRA. SHIELD was about the launch the Insight Project, which will let three Helicarriers with many weapons flying around ready to shoot anyone that was considered a threat to the world. But the planned turned to be different under the HYDRA. The plan was to shoot anyone who is and will became a threat to HYDRA. And Steve also found out that the Winter Soldier was actually his friend, Bucky Banner.

Today, not much important things happened. First, I successfully walked three miles with the time of fourty-four minutes and fourth-six seconds. In English, I don't have any homework that I need to do in grammar because we discussed about our research paper's second draft; and the actual homework was already done by me before. I had also finished the third book of the series The Secret of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel and will started to read the biography of Thomas Jefferson tommorrow. Tonight, I gonna play the song He's a Pirate, the theme song of the series Pirates of the Caribbean, entirely, or, at least, as far as I can.

4/21/16

Last Saturday, my parents and younger sister went to my grandparents' house while I got there by myself on a bus. I started for the bus station by 8:30 am, and got to my grandparents' house by 11:30 am. Because my dad made a deal with me that if I could get there by myself on the bus, I could play iPad "freely", or "as much as I want", all Saturday and Sunday. Too bad that I couldn't get back to my grandparents' house next weekend because by that time, I was already at a farm to experience farm life. I played the game Ravensword: Shadowlands again. I used to download that game after I've played that game on a mobile in an electric store. When I first played to game, I didn't played good enough to past the second main mission of the game; and so I quit. I would later on redownload the game and got further in the game than the last time, but I still quit. By now, I was quite good at the game.

Not much to tell about Sunday except that I punched my cousin in his stomach so hard that he felt, in his word, "hard to breathe." He punched him because he attacked my sister. We also went home on Sunday. I stills have a free day on Monday, though.

On Monday, we went to eat chicken hotpot. I went to Vinmart to buy Mentos and my dad bought face washing cream and fruits. And guess what happened when I got home, I had to go to toilet; and my feces was in liquid form, again.

So let me said shortly about the highlights in Tuesday and Wednesday. On those days, I suddenly didn't walked as fast as I usually do and, unfortunately, was also unable to walk as fast as I was required to. At least on Wednesday, I finished the book Edison, His Life and Inventions. Oh, and my Bible test got a hundred.

Today, I noticed that Mr. Smith also wear glasses today, but he didn't wear glasses yesterday. And my language test was 100, or at least that's what I remembered. We got to see some insects in science these few days. I saw a live grasshopper and some ladybug's larvae. We also had a new instrument in science. We got a light microscope. The light microscope, if I'm correct, allowed people to see closer with it's lens and with light.

There're three things that was notable this afternoon. First thing is that I had completed my research paper about light bulbs. Next is that I had started and finished my book report of the book Edison, His Life and Inventions. In class, the report was supposed to be started tomorrow, but I started earlier than the rest of the class. I had also done with translating another article that my dad sent me to translate. The article was about eight skills that an eighteen years old need to have. I got 20,000 vnd for the article.

4/13/16

Yesterday, there's something new and somethings that I usually do. First, my dad and I walked with the Nike app on iPhone turned on. I had the idea to find out how far we walked and see how much time it tooks us to walk. We walked only seven circles instead of eight because we went to buy toothpaste. While we were there, I bought ice creams for myself and my whole family; but my mom felt cold so she wouldn't eat any ice cream. I bought ice creams with my own money that I earned from translation articles that my dad sent me to translate and setting up the fair for my parents.

On yesterday's night, I watched the movie The Last Witch Hunter, starring Vin Diesel as Kueldrer, or something like that. Kueldrer was in a party that hunt the witches' queen in the Middle Ages period. He burned the witch queen, but the queen's heart wasn't destroyed so she could still be resurrected. The witch queen cursed Kueldrer by make him live forever. Then, the setting turns to the twenty-first century. The witches and humans lived together in harmony. But some witches still wants to revive their queen. At the end, it turns out that the witch queen just give Kueldrer immortality because she wants him to hold the immortality for her. Kueldrer, with the help of another good witch, defeated to witch queen and prevent her to make another outbreak of Black Death.

This morning, I was so close in walking for three miles in fourty-six minutes or less. The time said foury-six minutes and one second, but I think it's more like fourty-six minutes and nine tenth of a second. Just because I didn't clicked stop enough, the time was one seconds later, making me failed. In language, I started to right the introduction of our research paper. My introduction was about four or five, maybe seven, lines long. And the introduction sounds good to me. It has an declarative phrase, but it had the phrase "or was it?" at the end of the sentence. I think people who read that last phrase might wants to read my research paper, but just might. And I also found out that the due date for my book report of the book Edison, His Life and Inventions at school was the same as the due date of the book report at home. In history, Mr. Smith stopped wearing glasses. And we also learned about English's colonization in Asia, but there's nothing interesting enough to include. It's pretty funny. The least important thing in history was the one of the few things that was included in here. In mathematics, actually, I just forgot what I learned today. Maybe I'll check out tomorrow.

Today, I finally completed my line graph, which had no order whatsoever. I tried to make it as random as I could possibly do. I have also make a bar graph. The bar graph was easier to enter numbers and make the computer draw a graph. But my dad ordered some other improvements to make the programming shorter, which create much problems to me. Tonight, my dad and I watched Transporter 2, the movie where the transporter delivered a boy, which was injected with virus that spreads through the air, before we walk. It slows things down, and it was nearly 10:00 pm now. I haven't even finished 7 percents of the book yet.

4/12/16

Yesterday, after I've finished making my new blog entry, I'm ready for family meeting. But my dad was talking on the phone upstairs, and he didn't get down for family meeting until it was nearly 10:00 pm. By then, my mom and younger sister had already went upstairs preparing to sleep. So, I and my dad talked about the article about the eagles' seven habits that my dad sent me. One of the most impressive fact was that eagles like storms. Storms helped the eagle to soar up higher. After that, we listened to the song Sounds of Silence on both iPad and USB through the stereo. After that, we talked a little about songs. After that, I went to Brad Breeck's website. Brad Breeck was the composer the theme songs of Gravity Falls and Star vs the Forces of Evil and various other songs. I really liked the two theme song Brad made for Disney. Outside of those theme songs, he also composed the songs in Cartoon Network's We Bare Bears. All the songs that I like in that show was composed by Brad. I just realized how many people helped making Gravity Falls also worked for Cartoon Network. Actually, I only remembered two by this time. They're Brad Breeck and the actor who voiced for Candy. The actor who voiced for Candy also voiced for BMO and Lady Rainycorn in Cartoon Network's Adventure Time. I believed there's more people voiced in Gravity Falls that was alos in Adventure Time.

There're a few things to include that happened this morning. Today, I also walked 3 miles in less than 46 minutes. My time was an incredible reocord, for me, at the  time of 43 minutes and 35 seconds. The fastest speed I've ever reached while walking by myself. It was goal to read 7 percents of Edison, His Life and Inventions. My dad also found a song that he thought that I haven't known of called House of the Rising Sun. But, in reality, I had already knows it and had already been able to play the easy picking version of the song on my guitar. That song doesn't sounds as good as Sounds of Silence. My dad also told me that if I could get to my dad's parents house on a bus without my parents, he will let me play iPad all weekend. He came up with this idea because of the section that saids that eagles pushed their children out of their nest for them to learn to fly in the article about eagles' habits that he sent me yesterday. I'm 100% that I'll got a 100 on my spelling test unlike that last time which I also said that I'm sure that I'll get a 100 but failed to do so.

In the afternoon, I made a three dimensions square, and I just realized that I could called it a cube, on Python using turtle. I was about to be able to complete a line graph. I had already made the checkers, and I'll might finish it tomorrow. One thing that made the line graph harder to make in turtle than the bar graph to be able to take in a number to make a graph because it's harder to angle the line.

4/11/16

Last Thursday, I searched on Platinum Cinema's website to find the date time that they will have Kung Fu Panda 3 which was a movie that I didn't enjoy. But, some what fortunately, I looked at the wrong Cinema where they gonna have the movie. I didn't found that out until we reached the Platinum Cinema near us. Because the only other movie that was good was Batman vs Superman; and that movie was NC-16 which means No Children (Under) 16, we all went home. My sister was fussing about that, so I have to play the cinema version on iPad for her while I and my dad watched movie down stairs.

Last Friday, I finally bring a topic to discuss at our Bible school for children every Friday. I also started to give a tithe of my income to the teacher. Somehow, at the end of school time, we talked about a completely different thing; or, at least, it wasn't how it was supposed to be about.

Saturday, my parents and younger sister went to an art fair while I go to Hao Mai by myself to buy guitar strings because I broke the D string on my guitar; and there's no D string left. I started out about 8:15 am. First, I walked to bus station, which is about 1,09 miles away. I boarded the bus 22. Luckily, both time when I was going to Hoa Mai and going home, I didn't have to wait for the bus. Thanks God about it. In the afternoon, instead of playing on iPad, which I normally do but was now bored of it, I played on my computer, playing few flash games and watch Jacksepticeye, Pewdiepie, Smosh, or Markipiler. And some other videos like a guy making dominos into pictures of Gravity Falls' characters and the three journals. The domino video was very well made and impressive. And the videos of the gamers that I've already listed above was funny, especially Pewdiepie's so called Dark Soul 3 Zero Death Run in which he tried to die as least as possible.

On Sunday, I went to my mother's mom's house. After we arrived home, I played Lego until 5:00 pm; and then sleep. At night, after I've finished watching the new Justice League cartoon, Justice League vs Teen Titans. It was like the sequel of Justice League: Doom and Son of Batman, I read the biography about Edison until 12:00 am. Since my dad told me that I have to make a report about that book today, which I can't because I haven't finished it, I decided that I will finished the book by next week's Thurday.

Today, I learned to draw a few simple shapes using Python. My dad told me to make a tube using Python. I couldn't do that using Graphics, and so was my dad. Now, I have to learn Python's Turtle to make a tube.

4/6/16

Here are somethings about yesterday. I didn't watched TV because I had already watched YouTube. After I finished making a blog entry, I went on Safari to find a new song to learn. But that's wasn't my first intention. I intended to learn the rest of the song He's a Pirate, the theme song of the movie Pirates of the Caribbean, which was a great song. The song was too long, so I started to find new songs to play. I found one song that was easy for me to play and had a great rhythm. The song was called Sound of Silence. If it was actually a sound of silence, it would be something like this, "                         " because it's silence. But I like that song, anyway. I went up at 10:30 pm, but before I sleep, I read Edison, his Life and Inventions. I read until 11 or 11:30 pm. This book was interesting even though I can't tell why the heck I like it. Oh, and I forgot to tell that I watched the movie Fury on Sunday night. Fury was a movie about a tank crew at the end of World War II. Their team consists of ten or five tanks, but at the near end of the movie, there're only four left. They had a mission to capture some towns, but on the way there they faced a German tank, the Tiger; and three tanks were destroyed. Only the crews of the tank Fury was left. While going after the other thanks were destroyed, the came to a crossway and hit a mine, causing the tank's chain wheel to break. And as if things wasn't bad enough, a SS battalion was heading toward that crossway. So the men had to used the unmovable tanks to fight off the Germans. At the end, only the newest member of the crew, Norman, survived. He survives by crawling down on the ground through a hole under the tank. That movie was good. I like that movie. Especially when they fight.

Today, I started to walk three miles, but it started to rain, so I couldn't walk three miles. I had just walked 1.45 miles when I reached back home. It doesn't rain fast nor heavy, but it rains light and slow for too long. However, it still makes my T-shirt damp. For history, we reviewed for our history test that was in next lesson. Nothing unusual so far, Mr. Smith still didn't wear his glasses. Maybe he does, and I didn't even noticed it or doesn't bother to write it on my blog and then for gets it. Was learns about the superlative, comparative, and superlative form of adjectives, which was super easy for me. Easiest lesson ever. See? I just used a superlative form of adjective. The rest of the school day, doesn't have anything special.

So after class, I translated the article that my dad sent to me last week. The article this time was about why should the school taught about entrepreneurship. It saids about the benefits of entrepreneurship and how developing into an entrepreneur could taught us some good characters. To me, that article wasn't so bad. I translated that article pretty easy with the help of Google Translate.

4/5/16

Q  Last Saturday, my parents prepared for a fair at Viet Duc School. I also helped then carry the tables and chairs, along with some other jobs. We started to go there at 4:30 pm and arrived at 5:00 pm, but for some reason, we didn't start until 5:30 or 5:45 pm. After I carried the tables and chairs to the places where there're supposed to be, I started to placed the big umbrellas in their places and opened them up. It was quite hard. The umbrellas were heavy, so after I opened 8 umbrellas, my arms got really tired. At 7:00 pm, we had lunch. My lunch consists of fried vegetables, rice, tofu, and a chickien drumstick with tomato sauce. The chicken drumstick was big. The biggest part of it was bigger than my wrist. It must be the biggest chicken drumstick that I've ever ate, and it was delicious, too. Finally, we finished that work, except few tables and chairs that we were unable to put then to their places because the tents, which was where they were supposed to be put, wasn't put up yet. When we arrived home, it was already 11:00 pm. I was tired, but it sure worth it. I got 200.000 vnd for that.

On Sunday, I stayed home alone for most of the day while my mom and younger sister went to the fair. I stayed home, watching movie, reading books, and finally, after my dad called me and told me that I could, play games. My neighbor friends wasn't at home, so I played alone. Ot was quite lonely at home alone. The book that I read was a biography about Edison. And I won't said anything about this book since I remembered that I have already done so. That book was actually pretty good. I watched movies and cartoons on TV. I watched Star vs the Forces of Evil, which aired every Sunday, unless you count the times when Disney aired it again on Monday night. I also wished that there're Star Wars: Rebels. I like both of those two series. Both of them are distributed by Disney. I also played Injustice on iPad. For lunch, I had a vegetable that was called "su su", rice, and eggs. Personally, I don't think that eating roce with egg is a good combination; but at least I have food.  My mom came home by 5:30 pm. Thanks God that it didn't rain that day.

On Monday, there're not much things to say. In mathematics, I had the easiest lesson that I have and maybe will ever have. It had a formula. For example, John drive for 50 miles per hours for x hours, how many miles will he drove. The formula for that case would be m=50x. I also perfected my website. At our family meeting, my mom recorded me playing He's a Pirate on guitar and uploaded it on Facebook. I think I didn't play that song so good, but my mom stills upload it.

Today, there're many things to say. In the morning, I finally walked 2,5 miles in less than 43 minutes and 30 seconds. But unfortunately, The required distance was 3 miles; and even if I walked 3 miles, I still wouldn't walked fast enough:( weThe school finally send us the last pack of history disks today, and my dad went out to take it. When he returned, we have a spelling quiz. And I did pretty good. In mathematics, I finally learned about negative numbers, which I think that should be taught a long time ago.

After class, there're few things I loke to talk about. Finally, I had make my website able to link to another website that I made. Since I'm going to translate an article for my dad, I guess I'll make my website to talk about my lego MOCs on Thursday. But, I was happy about how far I've gone. We had french fries that my mom made at dinner. It was crunchy when it's hot, but I became softer when it cools down. But I stills enjoyed it.
